About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing friendly, compassionate customer service; completing cashier transactions; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; and helping keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, and to move objects including through overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
