About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role includes providing compassionate, friendly service; processing transactions; maintaining the sales floor; supporting store opening and closing activities when needed; and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is part-time, with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as a growth and career-development opportunity.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
