About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role provides welcoming, compassionate service; performs cashier and sales-floor duties; supports store operations and other departments; and may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position is part-time, with 25 anticipated weekly hours. The listed pay range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ paths to better health.
