About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ healthcare and shopping needs. The role provides attentive service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store operations, and helps keep departments—including photo and beauty—stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position also involves promoting CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
