About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role provides attentive, compassionate service; completes cashier duties; maintains sales-floor inventory and pricing; supports store opening and closing; and assists across departments, including photo, beauty, and, when needed, pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 29. The role requires availability across the listed shifts, with every other weekend required.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.
• Availability to meet the required schedule, including every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory-management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
