About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health services. The role includes delivering attentive, compassionate service; operating the register; maintaining the sales floor and inventory; supporting store opening and closing activities; assisting across departments such as photo and beauty; and, when needed, supporting pharmacy personnel. Associates are also expected to promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational while staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
