About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role provides attentive service, helps customers locate products, processes transactions, maintains the sales floor and inventory, and supports store opening and closing activities as needed. Associates may assist across departments, including photo and beauty, and may work regular shifts in the pharmacy when needed as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position also involves promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity to view computer terminals, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating additional items.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
