About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes customer service, cashiering, maintaining store operations and supporting other departments, including photo, beauty and pharmacy. The position is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 15.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Meet the physical requirements of remaining upright for sustained periods and occasionally lifting or exerting up to 35 pounds, frequently up to 10 pounds, and regularly a negligible amount, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Assist customers in all departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational while staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
