About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and contribute to CVS Health’s efforts to make health care more connected, convenient, and compassionate. The role includes providing customer service, operating the register, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations and departments, and assisting pharmacy personnel when needed. It is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week. The typical pay range is $15.00–$19.00 per hour; the actual offer depends on factors such as experience, education, and geography. The position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, based on eligibility.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
