About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate service; completing cashier and sales-floor tasks; supporting store operations and other departments; and assisting pharmacy personnel when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 20.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
