About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes providing compassionate, attentive service; handling transactions; maintaining store inventory and sales-floor operations; supporting store opening and closing; assisting across departments, including photo and beauty; and, when needed, assisting pharmacy personnel or working shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with 12 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and caring service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
