About The Position

Store Associates support the success of Sherwin-Williams retail stores by helping wholesale and retail customers identify their needs, answering questions about products, and recommending appropriate solutions. They resolve customer concerns, maintain current knowledge of product features, uphold product and store presentation standards, and provide excellent customer service while working toward sales goals. The position involves access to customers, including minors, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. The company states that it reviews criminal history to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public. This is a part-time position at Store #1534, located at 25800 Jeronimo Rd Suite 702, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. The role may require evening and weekend hours, frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds, and occasional lifting and carrying of up to 70 pounds.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for an employment work visa now or in the future.
Must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service.
Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
Build productive, trust-based relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
Process sales transactions accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
Follow and achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
Stock shelves and set up displays.
Clean store equipment.
Load and unload delivery trucks.
Assist with deliveries as needed.
Maintain assigned areas in an in-stock and presentable condition.
Remain knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options.
Comply with inventory control procedures.
Suggest ways to improve sales.
