About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s health care services. The role includes delivering compassionate customer service, operating the register, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping other departments stay stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development arise. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
