About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides customer service, handles transactions, maintains merchandise and inventory, supports store opening and closing activities, and assists departments including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours and a typical pay range of $15.92 to $22.92 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
