About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health-focused services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, processing transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
