About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role provides friendly, compassionate customer service; performs cashier duties; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing activities as needed; and helps other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. The position is part time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including moving objects overhead.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
