About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role includes delivering attentive customer service, completing cashier transactions, maintaining store inventory and sales-floor operations, and supporting store opening and closing activities when needed. Associates may assist other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ path to better health.
