About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and help CVS Health provide a convenient and compassionate health experience. The role includes cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting customers across departments. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive, differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, showing compassion, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all store departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
