About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, processing transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
