About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role provides customer service, performs cashier and sales-floor tasks, supports store operations and departments, and may assist pharmacy personnel. This is a part-time position with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit-card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to departments including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
