About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing attentive service, cashiering, maintaining store inventory and sales-floor presentation, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Able to lift or exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and helpful service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
