About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, operating the register, maintaining store inventory and sales-floor presentation, supporting store opening and closing activities, assisting across departments, and helping pharmacy personnel when needed. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit-card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health journeys.
