About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s goal of helping people on their path to better health. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor, supports store operations, and helps ensure departments are stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

This is a part-time position with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The listed base pay range is $17.00–$24.00 per hour. The actual offer may depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. The position is eligible for a range of benefits and programs depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs.
