About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role contributes to store operations and customer service, and may include regular shifts assisting pharmacy personnel as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Associates provide friendly, compassionate service; accurately process transactions; maintain the sales floor and inventory; support opening and closing activities when needed; and help keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. They also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
