About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health-focused services. The role includes cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates are expected to provide compassionate, friendly service and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health goals.
