About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and shopping needs. The role includes customer service, cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including pharmacy when needed. The position is part time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours. The listed typical pay range is $15.00–$22.00 per hour; actual pay depends on factors including experience, education, and geography.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, as well as a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Must have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive customer service by anticipating needs, showing compassion, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items as needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Remain current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
