About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and retail needs. The role involves delivering attentive customer service, completing cashier and sales-floor tasks, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates may work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. This is a part-time position with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently, and to exert a negligible amount of force regularly when moving objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
