About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role involves providing compassionate customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, and to move objects including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in retail or customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
