About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role contributes to CVS Health’s goal of providing a connected, convenient, and compassionate health experience.

Associates provide friendly, attentive customer service; accurately process transactions; maintain the sales floor and inventory; support store opening and closing when needed; and help keep photo, beauty, and other departments stocked and operational. They may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

This is a part-time position with 24 anticipated weekly hours. The stated pay range is $17.40 per hour. The position is eligible for certain benefits and programs depending on hours worked and eligibility.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help them locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
