About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help advance CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role provides friendly, compassionate customer service and supports store operations across departments, including photo, beauty, and, when needed, pharmacy. Associates may assist with regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

This is a part-time position with 24 anticipated weekly hours. The typical pay range is $17.40 per hour. Eligible benefits and programs may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, access to certain voluntary benefits, and other programs, depending on hours worked and eligibility.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on one's feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
