About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, processing transactions, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, supporting store operations, assisting departments such as photo and beauty, and helping pharmacy personnel when needed. The position also involves promoting CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately and according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
