About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and help CVS Health deliver a more convenient and compassionate health experience. The role includes customer service, cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations, and helping other departments remain stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development. This is a part-time position, with 25 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including moving objects overhead.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items as needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
