About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role provides welcoming, compassionate customer service; completes cashier and sales-floor tasks; supports store operations and other departments, including photo and beauty; and may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development. The position is part-time, with 24 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit-card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and complete inventory-management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
