About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health services. The role includes providing helpful, compassionate service; carrying out cashier duties; maintaining merchandise and inventory; supporting store operations; and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.

This is a part-time role with anticipated hours of 20 per week. Required availability is 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day of the week, with every weekend required. The stated pay range is $15.00–$24.00 per hour. The position is eligible, depending on hours worked and eligibility, for benefits and programs including dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.
• Availability to work 4 p.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Sunday, including every weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
