About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare and retail needs. The role contributes to a welcoming store experience, maintains store operations and merchandise, supports multiple departments, and may assist pharmacy personnel. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring departments are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
