About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s goal of improving health care access and experience. The role provides customer service, completes cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store opening and closing when needed, and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular shifts in the pharmacy, and promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
