About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and contribute to CVS Health’s health care mission. The role provides attentive, compassionate customer service; handles cashier duties; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing activities as needed; and helps keep departments, including photo and beauty, stocked and operational. The associate may also assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development, and promotes CVS services and loyalty programs.

This is a part-time position with anticipated weekly hours of 29. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. The typical pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. The position is eligible for benefits and programs depending on hours worked and eligibility, including dental and vision benefits, wellness resources, employee discounts, and access to certain voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
