About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their healthcare-related needs. The role provides friendly, compassionate service; handles cashier transactions; maintains the sales floor and inventory; supports store opening and closing; and helps keep photo, beauty, and other departments stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development. The position involves 20 hours per week and is part-time.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
