About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role provides helpful, compassionate service, supports the sales floor and other departments, and may assist pharmacy personnel as part of growth and career development opportunities. The position is part-time, with 25 anticipated weekly hours and required availability for weekday evening shifts Tuesday through Friday, plus weekend availability Saturday and Sunday. Every weekend is required.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and read, and to perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.
• Availability for the stated shift requirements: Tuesday through Friday, 5 pm–10 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 8 am–10 pm. Every weekend is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
