About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and contribute to CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role includes providing compassionate customer service, operating the cash register, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and helping other departments remain stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is full time, with anticipated hours of 30 per week.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on one’s feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational.
• Stay current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
