About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and contribute to a convenient, compassionate health care experience. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor, supports store operations, and helps keep departments—including photo and beauty—stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development arise. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
