About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting CVS Health’s healthcare and retail services. The role contributes to a convenient and compassionate customer experience by providing service, maintaining store operations, and supporting departments across the store.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including sustained standing, lifting and exerting force, and close-vision tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
• Remain upright for sustained periods; lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, with negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting; use close visual acuity for computer work, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.
