About The Position

At Wegmans, cashiers help ensure customers end their shopping trips with a positive experience. In this role, you will provide proactive customer service while assisting customers in traditional checkout and self-checkout lanes. The position is part time and pays $16.50–$17 per hour. Responsibilities

Engage customers in friendly conversation while making eye contact and smiling.
Proactively offer additional assistance and thank customers for shopping at Wegmans.
Efficiently and accurately scan items and process payments when working at a register.
Bag items properly so products arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store.
Manage traffic flow in the self-checkout area and direct customers to available lanes.
Ensure self-checkout lanes are in good working order and assist customers with system troubleshooting.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workspace.
