About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role contributes to CVS Health’s efforts to provide a connected, convenient, and compassionate health experience. Associates may support multiple departments, including photo and beauty, and may assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer assistance locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support opening and closing store activities when needed.
• Assist customers and support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
