Store Associate Part-Time Seasonal
About The Position
As a Seasonal Store Associate, you’ll work in a fast-paced, fun, and supportive environment, helping guests find the perfect gifts, taste delicious samples, and enjoy everything our store has to offer. The Store Associate is responsible for assisting guests in a helpful, positive manner while maintaining the appearance of the Rochester, NH store to company standards and for assisting with operational and merchandising duties as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office preferred) and have basic math skill
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. on occasion, stand several hours a day and climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push and pull and perform repetitive motions
- Must be able to move large quantities of merchandise with carts, dollies, hand trucks and other moving equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, on a regular basis
- May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business needs require or to attend meetings or training outside of normal work schedule
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred
- Microsoft Office preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests and drive sales by understanding their needs and wants by offering assistance in a positive manner
- Promote the brand in stores and at events in the community
- Efficiently and accurately process transactions at the cash registers
- Accurately receive and process incoming shipments as directed
- Assist with inventory by completing cycle counts, counting physical inventory, stocking shelves, tables, and under cabinets
- Assist with visual merchandizing activities, company store special events and sales as needed
- Maintain store appearance by cleaning, dusting, and keeping sampling areas free of spill
