About The Position

The Store Associate is a customer-focused role in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate service; handling transactions; maintaining store operations and inventory; supporting other departments and pharmacy personnel; and promoting CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is part time, with anticipated hours of 29 per week.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently, as well as a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and read or visually inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Assist all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
