About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping CVS Health customers and supporting store operations. The role provides attentive, compassionate service, handles transactions, maintains the sales floor and inventory, and supports store departments and services. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts, as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational while staying current on updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
