About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role includes customer service, cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations, and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. The associate may work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items as needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping departments stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
