About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to their health care experience. The role provides differentiated service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, and supports store operations. Associates may assist across departments, including photo and beauty, and may help pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
