About The Position

The Store Associate provides customer-focused support in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to help meet customers’ needs. The role includes customer service, cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, supporting store operations and helping other departments, including photo, beauty and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. This part-time position is expected to work 24 hours per week.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain standing for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
